BAD HABITS THAT COULD RUIN YOUR JOB INTERVIEW

Interviews is one of several processes most companies employ to scrutinize a prospective employee, and no doubt that a well taken interview will boost the possibilities of gaining the job in question.

Interview is a very sensitive part of  recruitment processes which is why it should taken more seriously as there multitudes of unemployed graduate vying for very few spots in companies, both public and private.
Some job seekers fail interviews not because they weren't smart, not because they weren't fluent or intelligent but for simple avoidable habit that many take for granted.
This habits are outlined under the following tests

1. DOOR TEST
The door test is a test that tends to disqualify most job seekers even before they get to meet their interviewers.
NEVER barge into the arena where you are to be interview, knock to get the attention of the interviewing team and wait to be invited before you go in. Knock just TWO time and wait for their responce and invitation.
Some interviewers delibrately remains silent to frustrate job seeker which can tempt most people to keep knocking. Never bang on the door, they know you are stand in front of the door, you are the reason why they are sitted inside, do not loose yor temperament and allow frustration creep into you.
Never enter through the door with your back to the interviewers, its only show your unprofessionalism. Enter through the door facing your interviewer while using either of your hands to shot the door.

2. LITTER TEST
This test is done to know how clean you are and your environment too, and also to know how conscious you are to the companies documents.
NEVER step over, step on or even walk by any paper you see on the floor, doing so would create an impression that you are dirty, negletive and carefree. Pick up what ever paper you find on the floor and submit it to them and avoid early disqualification even before you start, even if its a thrash, pick it up, they'd either dispose it properly themselves or show you a thrash can to dispose it.

3. SEAT TEST
Some job seeker fails their interview at this point unknowingly by sitting down at once even before being offered a seat. NEVER offer yourself seat until you've been ask to sit down, and look for the nearest low profile seat around (this brings out the humility in you to your potential bosses and colleagues). Avoid seat that are meant for high officials especially the rotary seats and never cross your legs when you sit down.
When sitted down, do not sit like your the boss or the interviewer, do not sit so relaxed on your seat as doing that might send a clear message that if employed you'd compete with senior colleague and boss for possition. Always sit up straight and plant your feet firmly on the ground with confidence. Lastly, never sit with your hands on your lap beneath the table - you'll look like a timid or nervous child.

4. HANDSHAKE TEST/GREETINGS.
Always greet whomever you find in the interview teams professionally. Do not prostrate or bend down to any member of the team when greeting, drop your cultural way of greeting (like the yorubas) as this could be embarrassing to the interviewers.
DO NOT extend a handshake gesture unless it was extended to you, and when it had, never make that usuall ''handshake cliq'' you make with your friends as it can be irritating and noisy to interviewers.

5. SMILES TEST:
yes! its a simple as the smile you know. First impression is always important and it be the difference between success and failure. Always put on a smiling face when entering the venue of the interview, when answering questions, when handshaking and even when leaving the venue.
Your Smiles could make an interviewer smile too and it can help sideline and eliminate timidity and nervousness.
So always wear a good smile to complement the whole processes. Facial expression matters alot, never frown into the interview arena, even when you've been angered by your worst enemy, just drop all form of anxiety and put on a smiling face.

With a these habit well mamnaged, are guaranteed 50 percent success.
